Race for the Cure

Soroptimist International of Garden City participates in the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure. Since pink is the color dedicated to breast cancer awareness, our club members dress in exotic pink wigs, boas, sunglasses, and other accessories for the Race. This fun event is a great way to support important breast cancer research and education programs.

The Komen Foundation is dedicated to curing breast cancer at every stage - from the causes to the cures, to the pain and anxiety of every moment in between. They have supported every advance in breast cancer research over the past 25 years. Komen for the Cure provides community grants for breast health and treatment.
