Rocky Mountain Region Projects
International Goodwill & Understanding
Rocky Mountain Region offers a friendship grant to Soroptimists from another country each biennium to visit our Region. Clubs may also form Friendship Links with other clubs around the world.
Friendship Grants are exchange programs established by Soroptimist clubs and regions. In an effort to share in cultural exchange and to learn practices different from their own, individual clubs offer grants for one or more guests to visit their area. Each club determines the length of the stay offered as well as any amenities to be included in the grant. Usually travel expenses are the responsibility of the grant recipient and accommodations, some meals, and special events are included in the grant. Often clubs in a geographic region will join together to host the visitors thereby giving them a broader experience and sharing the hosting responsibilities.
