Family Advocacy Center and Education Services (FACES)

Soroptimist Club Grant for Women and Girls: Our club is pleased to announce that we have won a $5,000 grant for FACES. The money comes from our Federation level, Soroptimist International of the Americas, which awards about $175,000 each year in Soroptimist Club Grants for Women and Girls. Our club is proud to have our project be among those that were chosen. FACES will use this money to improve the children's section of their facility. Congratulations to our grant writing committee and to FACES!

FACES is a unique and safe place committed to assisting victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual assault. Under one roof, more than twelve agencies have come together to provide coordinated legal, social, and health services. Victims and their children can now come to one location to talk to an advocate, plan for their safety, talk to a police officer, meet with a prosecutor, and receive medical assistance.

Soroptimist International of Garden City helps with contributions of cash, clothing and supplies.
